Award night and fund raising for the girl-child of Africa and victims of teenage pregnancy in Africa held at the Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd (Chike Nwizu Hall) Independence lay out, Enugu.
Visited Community primary school Ihe in Awgu LGA of Enugu state for Oral Health care project to enlighten and distribute tooth brushes, tooth pastes, tongue cleansers, school bags, pen, pencils etc to 1000 pupils valued at NGN50,000.00, with the help of a team of doctors and students from school of Dental Technology, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu, Nigeria.
Visited Hill top primary school, Ngwo for oral health care and distributed some tooth-brushes, tooth pastes, tongue cleansers, school bags, pen, pencils etc to 1000 pupils valued at NGN50,000.00.
Visited Bethel primary school GRA, Enugu for oral health care and distributed tooth-brushes, tooth pastes, tongue cleaners, school bags, pen, pencils etc to 1000 pupils etc, valued at NGN50,000.00.
Visited 300 widows in Udi, Awgu, Emene, Ihe and Enugu Communities, 50 of them of which are widows, and distributed clothes, food items, toiletries, children materials and ante-natal kits valued at NGN200,000.00.
Visited Park- lane and University Teaching Hospitals in Enugu –State to give a helping hand to about 40 indigent patients with some money, clothing, new-born babies wears, shoes, food items valued at NGN250,000.00, to some indigent widows and their children in communities etc with one of the trustees by name Mr. Andrew Smith from UK.

Our application for the registration of our organization is being processed for approval by the Enugu State Ministry of Gender Affairs and Social Development (MoGASD) and we intend to partner with them in the process of setting up, under an approved legal framework, a child for adoption scheme, as we have the following abandoned victims of teenage pregnancies. These individuals came to us via public awareness created by our presence and activities in Enugu State and other areas. Some of them are listed here below
1. Maureen Ugwuaku – HIV/AIDS victim with 6 months pregnancy when she came. She wanted to be helped with accommodation until she delivers and go back to learn her skills of sewing. She gave birth and was taken home with her life baby boy with some money, clothes and food items for their upkeep. She refused going home insisting on staying back with the organization who told her of its inability to provide all facilities. Even her own relatives came not willing to take her to their home in Abakpa. The program officer visits her with some money for their upkeep since their community is far. She came to Enugu for the post-natal care on and visited the organization and was given the sum of 5,000 Naira only.
2. Okoro Chinonso – 7 months pregnant when she came. She did not want the baby because of school. She told us that her people told her not to come back with any baby since it has been a reoccurring phenomenon in her family. She was offered so many options in order to keep the baby and she refused; she gave birth and was taken back to the Daughters of Divine Love that referred her to us
3. Rita Chidimma Ogbede - 5 months pregnant when she came. She wants to stay until she delivers and go back to school. She gave birth to a baby boy while waiting at Hansa clinic for a scan test the Doctor on duty told us to go and do while she was in serious contraction. We left that night to wait at the gate of the clinics until 7.00am until she gave birth on the chair with the help of an attendant whom we later paid the sum of N5,000.00 only before taking her back to the hospital for sutures and injections and she stayed for two days before she was discharged and paid the sum of N10,000.00. The child’s name is Miracle Chisom Ogbede with some materials bought for her.
4. Lucy Uchenna Okonta already having contraction when she came. She was taken to Mother of Christ hospital Ogui where she delivered a baby girl and came with the baby. She wants her baby to reach three months before taking her to a relation in Kano so that she can go back to school, but due to our inability to keep babies with their mothers because of lack of facilities, she was taken to a place she is staying now at Ugwuaji in Enugu South LGA with some money, clothes and food items for their upkeep. She comes from time to time and stays up to two weeks as she lacks food and maintenance. Kosisochukwu Okonta.
5. Anyanwu Judith came 7 months pregnant, said that she is married to Chinedu Cyril Usoro from Ebonyi State. Their case is pending at Human rights commission Ebonyi state which she would be going on for a hearing. Her first son is 4 years and he is in a motherless home in Rivers state. She still with us. 6. Okafor Eugenia came with a six weeks old foetus with Rev. Sister Eucharia that she wanted to come and live with
7. Okonkwo Chinonyelum from Umuogbu kindred of Umuowa village in Ihe in Awgu LGA of Enugu state came with almost six months pregnancy. She said that a man that wanted to marry her from the same community left Aba for Lagos and now denied being responsible for the pregnancy. The mother is aware but the father would not like to take responsibility due to inconveniences. Our agreement with her is to be looked after with ante-natal care until she gives birth. She desires to be helped with the money which would have been used to train her in the catering school where she in a final year settle her to her by finding an accommodation for her to be doing her catering business and in order to take care of her baby.
8. The organisation was called to come for an SOS for a victim of HIV who had twins. The organisation is helping with some funds and soliciting for help financially as the bill is almost N200,000.00 Naira in a private hospital.
9. Mr. Osondu Agu, 35 years middle aged man, from Okwele Ezike in Imo State, HIV/AIDs victim.
These victims of pregnancy and HIV/AIDs are being fed daily, given clothes, monthly allowances, taken to hospitals for ante-natal care/post-natal care, pay for HIV test, scan, accommodated in our living house where we also have our office situated. They are also given some stipends to take care of their babies pending when they are empowered to fend for themselves and their babies. Some of the even come spending some days and weeks with us due to hunger/lack and want.
10. A case of abused teenager from Akpawfu in Nkanu-East LGA was referred to Rhabi Women’s Health Centre and Motherless Home (RWHCMH) from the Ministry of Gender Affairs and Social Development (MoGASD) to be handled. Without wasting time the CEO/Founder embarked on a fact founding mission to the community. She decided to pay a courtesy call on the Divisional Police Officer in-charge of the area and he gave us one of his police on mufti to accompany us. The case was referred to the Hon. Commissioner for Justice who referred the organization to Justice for All (J4A) of the DFID.
11. The CEO/Founder Mrs. Rhabi Sani Santos met with the Enugu State Ministry of Justice for collaboration and advice on legal matters.
This Organization is also a member of some coalitions such as South East zone of Nigeria’s Centre for Eradication of Violence Against Women (CEVAW), Women In Peace Network of West African Network of Peace (WIPNET/WANEP) and National/State Coalition on Affirmative Action (NCAA)

12. The CEO/Founder with four members of the organization paid a courtesy call on the First lady Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu in order to console with her over the death of her husband and to present an award for outstanding woman of the year
13. The organization paid a visit to social Welfare centre Emene-Enugu with a bag of rice, clothes and shoes. She was applauded for her magnanimity and was given a list of psychotic, medical drugs and other materials needed for the in-mates. She went to the session where the physically challenged are and promised to pay them visit by December period.
14. The organization visited Oji River Leprosy Centre with nine (9) members and donated two bags of rice, a bag of salt, Cartons of clothing materials and shoes valued at NGN100,000.00.
Other information
Females, orphans and vulnerable children housed in our office are 7 and their kids are 5 (3 female babies and 2 male babies), total 12. External households are 132. Females are 76 and males are 56, total 144 in the last three months.
We facilitate the conduct of malaria and HIV tests for 50 Ante Natal mothers at the Poly Clinic and Good Shepherds Clinic in Enugu.
The women diagnosed with HIV were given spiritual, physical and mental counselling for proper conditioning to cope with their situation.
We source and obtain appropriate literature pamphlets on how to live with HIV and give them to those diagnosed with HIV to encourage and give them a sense of belonging to enable them live normal life. We also guide them on the daily intake of their drugs.
Those diagnosed with malaria were given free treatment as well as emergency accommodation. Mosquito treated nets were also supplied at the place of their emergency shelter to reduce further exposure to mosquito bites and the consequent malaria attacks.
Routine fumigations are carried out where these vulnerable kids and individuals are house as a pest control measure.
Our Challenges: Our challenges are lack of paid staff, funding, lack of facilities for accommodating the numerous victims who are besieging us even from the Government quarters.

World AIDS day activities included:
· Family planning awareness / STI prevention among teenage girls and mothers
· Awareness campaign
· Open clinic for teenage girls and mothers
An event was carried out in UK for homeless individuals in collaboration with a church and fare share where hot food and clothing were distributed in Essex.
We are going through a lot of hardship and killings of farmers in the eastern region and western region of Nigeria. Life is becoming very hard for the families of those killed to survive. Aid/medications is being distributed to those families to sustain them. Still an on-going concern on securities in this region.
